Steemit rewards September 2019steemCreated with Sketch.

in #cryptocurrency5 years ago

Yesterday was the last day of September, so it is time again for a new post about the rewards I got from different Steemit services and initiatives.

Voting distribution

Based on upVoters you can get insight in the upvotes you get for a certain amount of time. Below you can see the voting distribution of all incoming votes in September (and August as a comparison). It can be seen that @actifit took a bigger share this month. This is thanks to me participating in the competitions on Discord and the upvotes you get from @actifit.rewards as a prize. Second this month is good old @steembasicincome and third is @steem-ua. @esteemapp was down a lot this month, from 10.8% to 5.0%, mostly because I received less upvotes since I posted less using the app.

Author rewards

The second important thing to take into account is the total amount of author rewards that I got during this month. Steemworld.org helps here, since you can see the rewards of the last 30 days on your account page there (see below). One disadvantage is that rewards are always paid out 7 days after you author a post. That means that the reward data from Steemworld are 7 days behind the upVoters data about upvotes. To keep the calculation easy, I assume that the amount of upvotes by the different services are comparable for both periods. Since I post 4 to 5 times a week nearly all weeks, that should be pretty close to the reality.

According to the Steemworld data, I got 40.77 STEEM (Power) in author rewards last month (compared to 45.54 in August). Not too bad after HF21.

Results

In the table below you can find the results of the calculation for this month, including a recap from the previous five months. I only take the services into account that are among the five biggest contributors/upvoters.

Actifit is still on top this month, and again with some more Steem than last month. I keep making use of the nice AFIT to Steem/upvote and the competitions on Discord.
SBI is down a bit in Steem rewards. Given the change for author rewards from 75% to 50%, the score is still pretty good.
Even though that HF21 change, Steem-UA is up in Steem rewards and up to third place. Finally some improvement here!
Esteemapp has gone down a lot. I should be posting more regular stuff (instead of actifit reports) I suppose...
Upvoteshares is stable in Steem. A nice score in the HF21 world!

In the graph below, the Steem rewards per service over time are shown. You can see that the Actifit dominance is getting bigger and bigger. I wonder what would have happened if it didn't exist. I expect a lot of people would have given up on Steem then.

Conclusion and further thoughts

Based on the numbers, most of the services are still working well for me. Actifit is really the big one, especially because of the conversion option and the new competitions. I'd say this is the best service there is for me, also because it keeps me fit. SBI brings in a steady income, and did a relatively good month. The Esteem app works very well and gives nice upvotes that are worth a lot more than what you give them, so it is a win-win. Steem-UA is still a great service when you calculate the Return on Investment.
All other services (including @dustsweeper and @minnowbuilder, which are not in the list) still provide a, slow but steady, return, so I won't be changing any of those.

What do you think about the numbers? And do you have any recommendations for me? Let me know in the comments below!
