The project wasn't realized until this year when Ethereum took off. Ethereum is a blockchain with a smart contracts framework that allows projects to create their own tokens for decentralized applications. Many times, these tokens are offered for sale to the public at an initial price, called an Initial Coin Offering. The price of the coin is then subject to supply and demand. These tokens can be a way to transact on a platform or can even represent shares of a company. EvanCoin represents Evan's time.

1. Get an Ethereum wallet. I like MetaMask for ease of use.
2. Buy some Ether. MetaMask has a Coinbase integration if you do not already have a Coinbase account.
