Iconomi is supposed to launch its new platform soon. Who are the winners?

It's the first and cheapest investable index in crypto. With all this money pouring into crypto I imagine lazy investors will just buy the index if it's gets popular. But what will do his mean for the flow of funds into crypto and which currencies will be winners? Here is the index. Dash Monero are the big winners but Aragon is a smaller coin who could benefit.

first the index caps coins at 15%

This hurts bitcoin and ethereum which would both be much higher at 45 and 22 percent.

second the index excludes coins that aren't in innovative categories

Ripple nem stellar and litecoin are bigvexcludes coins. If this index gets big expect them to lose share of market cap.

dash monero big winners

These two large coins are only 1-2 percent market cap yet get 12-3 weightings. This means incremental dollars will really help them gain share. If both hit this weight they would be 10x as big.

little coins like ant rlc and wetrust could also be big winners

These coins are only 1 percent weights but given small sub $100m market caps they could get really high inflows if meaningful money comes into the index. They could easily hit the $1b cap range if the index becomes popular.

what about new ico?

Generally Iconomi wanted to see 2month trading history to add to the index but they did add ant just after the Ico. So this index could fragment over time. New entrants in categories they already hold like platform gaming privacy blogging and file storage might be more likely to be added. The ico index might be another place to look for future additions to the index. It bought Aragon and then that coin was later added to the index.
