2018 outlook

This is not investment advice but this is what I think could happen in early months of 2018. 5 crazy predictions. (Mainly I can see if they are right and build my confidence!)

1. Bitcoin peaks for year in q1

as short squeeze mono futures traders and institutional money enters. Like Netscape (inaternet 1.0) and linked in (internet 2.0) bitcoin futures are first way to play internet 3.0. Netscape peaked at 7x offering g price and I vaguely remember linked in was similiar. So maybe$70k peak?

2. Btc continued to regain lost dominance.

Bitcoin dominance peaks in mid 80s from 60 ish today. Futures forks and frequent monthly buyers at coinbase (3fs? ) power the increase. Institutional money might flow to the leaders and the most liquid. (This means most alts fall hard)

3. Better bitcoins keep up.

Wall Street loves a pitch like this is faster(ltc) more secret (xmr) better governance(dash) but trades at a x% discount stories. These also have big caps. I expect these to rise but a bit slower than bitcoin.

4. Ethereum faces challengers.

New Luanches Eos(launch) cardano(launch). Etc (with a soon to be pubically traded trust and better monetary policy). Upgrades and new ico platforms (waves, stratis) could challenge ethereum while it moves proof of stake. This could mean these guys duke it out for mindshare and virtual machine cap spreads between them.

5. Taxman and lending arrive!

As people rush to file taxes they realize they never want to sell bitcoin again. Enter programs like salt ethlend that lets you borrow against coins.
