Estudios del Banco Central de la India 'Fiat Cryptocurrency' para Rupia Digital
El Banco Central de la Reserva de India (RBI), el banco central del país, ha hablado de su investigación en curso de la criptografía, haciendo alusión a su papel en una alternativa digital futuro a la rupia.
Con el gobierno indio tratando actualmente de avanzar hacia una economía completamente digital, ha iniciado la iniciativa emblemática de la India digital y los programas de investigación para impulsar ese proceso.
Según informó CoinDesk, un artículo del instituto de investigación del RBI, publicado en enero, argumentó que la tecnología blockchain podría proporcionar la base necesaria para la digitalización de la rupia.
Ahora, según The Economic Times, el director ejecutivo de RBI, Sudarshan Sen, ha indicado que este trabajo todavía está en curso, diciendo en una conferencia de fintech de India hoy:
"En este momento, tenemos un grupo de personas que están mirando a las criptocurrencias fiat, algo que es una alternativa a la rupia India, por así decirlo.
Sin embargo, el banco está menos interesado en criptocurrencias de bancos no centrales como bitcoin, con Sen afirmando que el RBI es "no cómodo" con tales criptocurrencias "privadas".
El RBI ha emitido previamente advertencias de los inversores sobre los riesgos de las criptocurrencias, y su vicegobernador afirmó que su potencial está "exagerado" en un discurso de marzo.
