What's the zeitgeist in the cryptocurrency world right now, and short and long term prediction for the markets and Steem!

How many different opinions must there be about cryptocurrency and where it is headed. 2018 has been an interesting start so far, with all cryptos taking a much needed correction, and everything seemingly hanging in the balance. Will we get that much needed final dip, and will things bull rush up after that if it happens? Here is my take on the current cryptocurrency situation, and my prediction for the next week or two.

I got started with Bitcoin just shy of a year ago now, which is an eternity in the cryptocurrency space. I predicted that things would go mainstream in December 2017, which is basically what has happened, almost! We are on the precipice of the great shift, from the old age to the real new age. Cryptocurrency has now caught the eye's of just about everyone, and not least our governments. They have suddenly sprung into action in the last few months and are rolling out regulations as fast as they can, and are setting up the game so that they can unleash a huge new cash flow from tax. This is inevitable, and this is very good for all block-chain projects including Bitcoin.

It is only with regulation and acceptance by the banks and governments that the real money can come into this space, and that is what is happening right now. The way things look to me is that there is a playoff between rushed tax legislation, and pressure by bankers who control the media to push the price of everything down. They are ready to buy in, and the technology has not only proved itself but has almost unlimited potential to change the way everyone does business all over the world.

The thing is, bankers being bankers, want to buy in at the lowest price, even if it means a bit of media manipulation and FUD enhancement! That is what we are seeing right now. The market is SO bullish you can feel it. It's like a drag racing car with engines roaring and the brake peddle firmly applied. The Huge money is almost ready to come in, and I believe when the final dip comes, we see the explosion happen.

If we make it past the dip and back up to unprecedented levels, we will have past a major milestone for cryptocurrency. Anyone who understands the technology of Block-chain will know this is inevitable, since the companies who are building our future today are flourishing and already backed by more money than they need to create the products that will define our culture and lives moving into the 2020's.

Therefore, we should brace ourselves for mixed messages, confusion and doubt until the switch suddenly flicks. All it takes is a few days of positive news in the mainstream media for half the world to respond. That message will come once the big money is in place, and governments have figured out how to track and tax everyone as much as possible. It is all happening a light speed, and there is only so long the brake pedal can be held down before the whole thing explodes down the road and into the world that we have been waiting for! Will that be days, weeks, or months? Let's see.. Right now I'm betting days or maybe weeks!
