Crypto Project 2K - @drwom gets to spend AUD $2000 on cryptocurrencies as a long term project

How lucky am I?

My wife has given me the go ahead to spend $2000 Australian Dollars (about USD $1600 on today's market) - on whatever crypto I like. How cool is that?

I know there are those out there for who that's nothing. Then there are people like me who are slowly building their #steem through #steemit, patiently building a portfolio of other cryptocurrencies.

Then there are those people for who, I know, this seems like a dream.

I get that. But hang in there, fellow steemers. Steemit is going to take off in a big way sooner or later, and if there's any justice in the galaxy it will take us all with it!

As you will see from the above screenshot from cryptocompare.com I seem to have timed this rather badly - just before an announcement from China's reserve bank which just proclaimed ICOs illegal in that country, as it happens.

Still, that's the nature the project isn't it? Stick with these guys through thick and thin for a few years - I'm thinking three or four at least, to see what happens with them.

So here is my initial list of what I bought. And except for the ether (ethereum) this is pretty much what I'm going to stick with. (I bought the ethereum because there is an ICO my wife and I want to be involved in soon and the developers involved are using it as their initial currency in pre-rollout phase.)

All in all, as noted on the cryptcompare.com website the total came to $2000 minus the transfer and exchange costs (ending at precisely AUD 1,966.55.)
