Good post, but your logic is flawed. Dash has been promoting asic mining for awhile on their site. And during their conference a few weeks ago, they have stated they are actively looking into specialized hardware for POS.
I wouldn't say they are promoting ASIC mining but they do have some information about it on their site. The page I found was last updated on Oct 6. Doesn't mean my logic is flawed.
As for specialised hardware for PoS that is a totally different thing. I actually think that's a really good idea.
