My path to a BitCoin.
I have a goal. I started on the Steemit platform 3 months ago and I wish to buy a BitCoin using only income from Steem. The reason I am doing this is a proof of concept for a hell of a lot of sceptic people that do not believe in the potential of Cryptocurrency...
Progress so far
I am far from being one of the popular Steemians that are on this platform, but even I have had some incredible days here on Steemit. I Started with absolutely nothing! It is not possible for me to invest into Crypto so my curiosity has driven me on the Steemit platform and I have finally built up to 0.1 BitCoin. For me as a South-African, this is an incredible thing! This is more than the average wage in the country...
Bringing others to Steemit
A large contributor for the recent rise in Steem price can be attributed to the influx of people. I have seen many people try to recruit new users, so I would like to help. So far, @fluffysmurf has joined with my full support. I hope to have 2 more users by Wednesday.
In my opinion, just promoting Steemit is not effective. I am trying to teach as well as recruit, by giving strategies and tips to the people I try to bring on. I have made some mistakes and hope to help others avoid this.
Value of a BitCoin
With the current price of BitCoin, It is far out of reach of an ordinary South-African. Being able to produce one from just socialising is a very big deal and I believe South-Africa is waiting for an opportunity like this...

Slowly but very surely! I still plan on going to rAge, our E3 style expo in October. It is accompanied by a massive LAN with about 3000 people. If I have a BitCoin by then, I know I will be able to recruit a bunch of people!

If you ever decide to convert your bitcoin to ZAR go through luno. Bitcoin sells for a hell of a premium there.
It is what I am using. The transfer fees are relatively good as well...
wonderful story....thank you for sharing. We all have our own paths of learning about bitcoin and other cryptos. They are unique and we will look back and say "I remember when". I would also look at Ethereum as well....keep an eye on it.

I'm doing something similar, transferring SBD out to Bittrex in my case, but I am buying other cryptos as well as BitCoin.
That is the eventual plan. But the people I am targeting have a very limited knowledge of Bitcoin... only Bitcoin! I do not want to confuse them while recruiting them. I am going to explain all the complexities once I have them hooked...

I have plans to eventually join faucets, but as I said. I wish to prove the concept of Steemit right now, so I will only be building a BitCoin using Steem...
