How to Get On the Right Trading Path.
A slight change to your daily trading habits can guide your results to a very different destination.
Trading decisions that are 1 percent better or 1 percent worse seem insignificant right now, but over the span of days, weeks and months that make up a career of these choices determine the difference between who you are as a trader and who you could be.
Success in trading is the product of daily habits—not once‑in‑a‑lifetime tools, strategies or secrets. So it doesn’t matter how successful or unsuccessful you are right now.
What matters is whether your daily trading habits are putting you on the path towards profitable trades. In the bigger picture your current path is more important than current results
If you’re losing more trades than winning or even if you have more winning trades but your losing trades are wiping out profits then if things don’t change, it’s not going to end well.
Even if you’re on the right path, with the right habits but moving slowly on the right path to successful trading then that’s ok.
Outcomes are always a lagging measure of your daily habits. Your trading portfolio is a lagging measure of your daily trading.
If you want to predict where your trading portfolio will end up, all you have to do is follow the curve of trading gains or losses no matter how small.
Think about how your trading decisions compound over time.
Are you educating yourself more and more?
Are you learning about the markets and economy?
Do whatever you can to magnify the margin between success and failure.
Focus on better trading habits so they don’t become your enemy.
