Let's Discover Some Lesser-Known High Market Cap Cryptos Together
Ok, so, what the title says. There are tons of cryptos that I look at on the top 100 on coin market cap and I have no clue what they do. I bet you don't know anything about them either, so...Let's change that!
- NEM (XEM) - MarketCap: $1,993,032,000
So, what is NEM? Well it stands for "NEM", and its ticker, XEM, stands for "NEM". Or something.
Well, let's see. at the top of their website, they declare:
Ok, not sure what that means. I tried to watch the video but it had pictures of bitcoins and talked about blockchains revolutionizing the world and I turned it off.
Ok, let's see what it says next on the website...hmmm, "NEM Advantages":
Blockchain technology offers a fundamentally streamlined method of maintaining a secure ledger of transactions compared to a traditional database.
Ok. So...I gather it's a blockchain...

So, ostensibly it's a GOOD blockchain??
Hmm, let's look at "Use Cases":
Okay so it's a platform. Yawn. How about making money? Well, looks like they something called POI (proof of importance) and Harvesting, which you can do with 10k NEM...Hmmm, reading the instructions....Uhhh, yeah, I don't get this, let's move on.

BTM almost half a billion in market cap? I have not even heard of it until I read a post and sure enough it is ranked higher the steem in market cap.
Is it me or there seems to be a lot of cryptos to invest in these days....

seriously though how did cryptonex get a $210 mil marketcap. it's just a generic pos coin with a website riddled with grammar and spelling mistakes, and really bad stock photos. ?????????

My humble advice:
To be serious for a moment; there's no way anybody can keep up with all these vague whitepapers, unless you make it your day-job to do so. All you can do is inform yourself as best as you can before investing your hard earned money, like you did here. And if that doesn't go well, you can always ask around: that's what fellow Steemians are for!
