The straight news isn't always so welcomed. LOL
Whether it does or not, it will be the weaker fork after Aug 1 when a bunch of miners split off to Bitcoin Cash fork.
It will lock in. Bip 91 which locked in a few days ago requires all miners to signal for segwit.
