Why do you invest your money in cryptocurrency

I would only invest in a coin because I have the belief it will replace fiat money in the long term like for example steem. What is the purpose if everybody cash out there cryptocurrency? Making the banks rich again? I rather see a world where cryptocurrency replace the fiat money
