The fact that crypto has come to break the monopoly of the government on wealth is one of the reasons they are not in full support of it, as you've rightly said, crypto currencies aim at making us independent on the government. And concerning the risks, I've learnt that in life the fear of not trying is a bigger risk. The bigger problem is to actually know the one that's real, and that's the problem many are having.
