Look inside my $ATOM wallet and see it staking hourly..

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

I've been mining almost 30 POS (Proof of Stake) cryptocurrencies for over a year and there's one that I personally think is flying under the radar at the moment,. because it has some special qualities that may not seem apparent unless you have downloaded the wallet and ran it with some coins in.

At the time of writing this, Atomic Coin has been trading at around 5-700 satoshis, (2-3 cents) for the past couple of months, and the daily trading volume is usually under 1 BTC if not under 0.5 BTC. It's rank on Coinmarketcap.com is only around 443

Yet this is one of my favourite coins.. so I'll get to the point about it being a bit special,.

Besides super fast transaction speeds, you can currently earn 100% per year on it for POS staking.. about 0.27% per day.

OK, big deal, some coins are over 800%.. but with most of the coins you need a substantial amount, sometimes millions,or even tens of millions, before you get any decent rewards, and then, it doesn't happen every day, it can be only a couple of times a week if that.. but with Atomic coin you don't need much in your wallet to get some action and take advantage of compounding that 100% per year rate as you accumulate coins on a daily, if not hourly basis.

I've introduced this coin to friends who started with as little as 3000 ATOM and started seeing regular stakes within just hours of syncing up their wallets.

With other currencies that need a higher amount to stake regularly, you need to leave your computer on constantly with your wallet unlocked for staking, with ATOM, if you go offline, you'll see larger staking rewards the next time you open and unlock your wallet for the time you've been away until you're back on course. This makes it even more energy efficient and a perfect coin to introduce as a POS cryptocurrency to a friend, because they don't need to have their computer on all the time.

So in my view, "ATOM" really lives up to its name, you can start staking with a tiny amount.. and who knows, with its supply capped at 252,000,000 and current supply at less than 12,000,000, it could really live up to it's name..

For transparency, here's a screenshot of my wallet:
