Btcpop Development Plans

Everyone in cryptocurrency knows the future is never certain. The space is rapidly changing and even going out one month in predictions can become a stretch.

So while the future for cryptocurrency is unplanned and unpredictable, the future for Btcpop.co is planned out and exciting!

Btcpop’s Development team has been making great progress and improving Btcpop everyday. And, if you haven’t noticed customer support has issues at an all time low and support tickets are being answered in record time. Our awesome user base has been growing as well at a fantastic rate, and our awesome community is nearing 100k active users!

Btcpop’s full Website overhaul

If you have been around Btcpop lately you have likely heard mumblings of a new user interface, updated exchange, and improved features. These rumors are 100% true and tie into Btcpop’s complete website overhaul!

As mentioned before good progress is currently being made on this overhaul and things are moving along at a good pace. Current projections have the website overhaul being completed sometime around the first of the year. But, as we all know in large technical projects, unforeseen obstacles and issues can arise so no deadline is certain.

New Website Features

The new website will of course be completely different than the current one, replacing bugs and generally improving all of the websites existing functions. But there are some main components to the upgrade and they are:

1. Multiple Cryptocurrency Loan/Bond Support
2. New and improved user interface throughout
3. New Altcoin Exchange (following poloniex exchange layout)
4. Exchange API

1 Multiple Cryptocurrency Loan/Bond Support

If you use Bitcoin regularly you know that fees have become quite expensive and wait times in the mempool sometimes ridiculous. Bitcoin is no longer the ideal quick, cheap, and secure means of transferring value online like it used to be. While Btcpop remains a steadfast believer in the Bitcoin project, its focus is to provide a service to the cryptocurrency economy as a whole and as of now there are better alternatives to use besides BTC.

Likely candidates for alternative currency loans in addition to BTC are:

• BCH- Bitcoin Cash
• ETH- Ethereum
• USDT- Tether

This list is not final and other currencies such as DASH, XMR, LTC and other Altcoins could also be supported if there is enough demand. Also, features such as selectable collateral will be added for loans as well as bonds, so users don’t have to offer all collateral in a collateral loan.

2 New and improved user interface throughout

As a company and website Btcpop.co is still quite young. It has also only been under new ownership for about 1.5 years, and most of that time has been spent fixing the old website. While the current website is functional, it not necessarily that intuitive to use and there are some UI issues that make it more difficult to navigate and use than it has to be.

The new user interface will be more simple, modern, and intuitive for users. As well as being faster and less buggy than current code.

3 New Altcoin Exchange

Btcpops current exchange while fully functional, is not that easy to monitor and navigate. Btcpop plans to update its exchange so the user interface is similar to that of poloniex.com. The chat box will also be available to traders, like the old days of poloniex.

4 Exchange API

To increase volume and get Btcpop exchange users the closest to real market price Btcpop will be adding Exchange API. This will allow spread and arbitrage bots to operate on Btcpop’s exchange and along with new UI will increase volume traded on exchange greatly. API will also allow Btcpop’s exchange and market prices to be listed on coinmarketcap.com which is a terrific source of network traffic.

When will this all Happen!?

As stated previously large technical undertakings like this are hard to predict when they will be completed. The current progress and plan would have launch ready around 1/1/2018! But again it is dependent on development progress which can run into roadblocks quite easily.

Future ideas and Beyond

While Btcpops current slated improvements are exciting and will dramatically improve its usefulness and a financial platform, we won’t stop there. Btcpop is committed to continued improvement and remaining a leader in cryptocurrency finance and providing its users with the best platform possible to do commerce. Btcpop has many ideas to implement in the future, but it would also love to hear new ideas.
