USDT Fall, BTC Surge

On October 15, rumors about USDT continued to grow. In the afternoon, the sell-off of USDT began to be panic in the digital currency market, and the funds began to sell USDT to buy other mainstream cryptocurrencies, and Bitcoin surged to break through the $7,500 mark.

According to the Bitcoinexchangeguide news, KuCoin officially announced that it will suspend all USDT transactions on the platform, and any deposits and withdrawals related to USDT and its trading pairs will not be available for now.

Earlier, it was reported that the Noble Bank was insolvent, which directly affected two companies — Bitfinex and Tether.
Bloomberg said that if the government is looking for evidence of any Tether’s wrongdoing, or if users lose confidence in Tether’s ability to redeem its cryptocurrency for $1, the USDT will soon lose value.

But only time will tell if the the drop of USDT is only a short-term phenomenon or the beginning of some important event. Jehan Chu, managing partner of blockchain investment and consulting firm Kenetic Capital, said that Tether’s stable price can persist only if Tether completely resolves the criticism to its lack of transparency.

TETHER has not clarify this crash, and the market still can’t calm down, but according to the USDT peg dollar, if there is enough discount, institutional investors may come to arbitrage, and that would be a challenge for Tether.
