U.S. Copyright Office Says It Does Not Recognize Craig Wright As Satoshi Nakamoto

The U.S. Copyright Office was hard at work dispelling notions that the agency officially recognized anyone as the inventor of Bitcoin.

It was revealed that the agency only receives applications for registration and the claimant certifies as to the truth of the statements made in the submitted materials.

According to the Copyright Office it does not investigate the truth of nay statement made in this case it does not investigate whether there is a provable connection between the claimant and the pseudonymous author.

The government agency ran through the trouble of clarifying this due to Wright’s actions that stated that the Copyright Office has acknowledged Wright as the author of the original bitcoin paper which would suggest that he is Satoshi Nakamoto.

The agency states that it does not actually recognize anyone for anything.
