Sister Companies Bitfinex And Ethfinex Jointly Launches Initial Exchange Offering Platform
Bitfinex and Ethfinex have jointly launched a new initial exchange offering (IEO) platform which will be called Tokinex.
IEOs is a new model of token offering where in the centralized crypto exchange acts as a form of underwrite who vets both the project and prospective investors.
According to reports, Tokinex will use Know Your Customers (KYC) checks powered by the Blockpass mobile app for each sale completed for the IEOs hosted on the platform.
It was also revealed that token issuers that conduct their token sale in the platform will not be charged for listing their tokens and plans to list their tokens post-sale on the Bitfinex and Ethfinex marketplaces.
The first token of the platform is planned for June 13 at 13:00 GMT+1 however the token project selected for the offering has not itself been disclosed at the time of the publication of this article.
