Zcash update: Better zk-SNARKs to speed up the anonymous transactions
zk-SNARKs was created by Zcash developers as a cryptographic method to hide the users crypto addresses and balances.
However, zk-SNARKs has slower transaction time than the regular transactions. zk-SNARKs transactions take 1 to 2 minutes while regular ones only take in seconds.
Now, Zcash developers released a new prototype of zk-SNARKs which is named as Jubjub.
Jubjub will speed up anonymous transaction to 5x faster than the previous one and will only require 98x less RAM usage.
It will also allow zcash transactions on a smartphone which was impossible before.
The change is expected to happen sometime in 2018 and will be implemented as a hard fork therefore, all miners and users are required to upgrade their software in order to take advantage of it.
China's Tencent and Intel Joint Forces for an IoT Blockchain Solution
Tencent, a Chinese technology and media company partners with Intel in developing applications using blockchain technology and IoT.
The partnership was announced at the 2017World Internet of Things Exposition on September 10, 2017 in Wuxi, China.
The project will focus on creating appl;ications for Tencent User Security Infrastucture (TUSI) IoT laboratory.
Tencent will use the blockchain technology through Intel's support. Aside form that Tencent will benefit form Intel's privacy protection, scalable annd secured technology.
