Gems.org : Decentralised Micro Tasking & Amazon mTurk Killer
Gems, a new Ethereum-based service, is being built to tackle one of the oldest issues since many years: micro tasks, using the power of the blockchain.
Arguably the most useful aspects of blockchain technology is decentralization. This is the root of its security as well as its versatility.
With a decentralized secure system, you don’t need to go through the hassle of dealing with a corporation too big for its own good. Built on the Ethereum network, Gems will create what, on a very basic level, could be compared to MTurk: Decentralized Edition.
Not only this idea of decentralised microtasking is one of its kind, this team is one of the very best. Rory and Kieran O’Reilly are the brothers who co-founded Gifs.com. Biz Stone (Co-founder of Twitter & medium), Joey Krug (Co-founder of Augur), Ben Maurer (Co-Founder of reCaptcha), Luis Cuende (Co-founder of Aragon), Joe Urgo (Co-founder of district0x) are few of the prolific advisors of Gems.
To conclude, I must say this is a great project, which is here to stay and complete with Amazon MTurk certainly.
