Partnerships in a decentralised era
One area in which centralised companies have an advantage of decentralised companies is in the area of negotiations and partnerships. PIVX recently had a social incident which highlighted the need to have procedures in place to make partnerships transparent, defined and inclusive. The scope of this paper is not to analyse that situation, but to set the wheels in motion for building a sustainable and scalable method for partnership development.
I feel that there are 2 main ways to develop a partnership, publicly and privately, i will touch briefly on the private methods but the majority of time will be spent on the public methods.
Private negotiations
Private negotiations will need the use of NDAs, now for obvious reasons NDAs cannot be used with public decision making. For this reason i suggest the use of appointed agents. Agent selection is simple, a person or group of people can put a proposal forward to 'negotiate on behalf of the PIVX blockchain' this can be with a specific organisation for example google inc or for a specific type of organisation for example exchanges. The length of time in the position should also be set at the time of proposing plus request for any funding from the blockchain that may be needed.
Public negotiations.
This is a much more varied proposition but i will attempt to build a very vague framework for how things should be done.
The organisation wishing for a partnership should launch a proposal which states key aspects of the partnership, these aspects may include but are not limited to....
Length of partnership
Reason for partnership
Fee for partnership or donation
Key contact in partnership
Location of document describing the partnership
All these things should be discussed with the community beforehand using PPL or at least some form or community engagement on discord or the forums.
Once the masternode owners pass the vote then the partnership can be official and proof will forever be etched into the pivx blockchain.
This is just an initial thoughts and should be discussed via discord in the governance channel and on the forums
