The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, ICE, has partnered with a company called Thomson Reuters in order to procure identifying information about immigrants such as tax identification numbers, license plate registration information, phone numbers, addresses, insurance claims, and payday loan Information. What does this mean when it comes to one's control over personal data, the commodification of personal information, the use of that information to achieve political goals, and the technology that makes this possible?
