Gladius the 2 in 1 Solution Fight DDoS and Earn Money at the same time
Years back I started a small online business. Over time it grew in leaps and bounds and today people around see me as a guy who started small, grew into a medium size business and who is now eying to enter the big league.
Running an online business is a great opportunity to reach out to the global audiences. Without having to setup offices in every demography. However it comes with its byproducts like having to be constantly connected to the internet and thus keeping my computers on 24X7.
I have to pay for the electricity as well as the flat monthly internet charges so keeping the idle computers running costs me as much as it would when they were being used.
So I constantly seek opportunities to cut down on expenses and augment my income.
Another challenge is that having a website makes you vulnerable to a DDoS attack. A DDoS attack would make my online business inaccessible to the world. This is a constant fear that someone may do a DDoS attack on my business website. When I see these numbers
my fears get re-enforced and I feel the jitters. In a lot of ways I feel like
An easy target ready to be taken down by a DDoS attack.
There are a number of businesses providing DDoS protection but the services cost a bomb.
Conventionally The CDN & DDoS protection industry is dominated by big companies and they charge a hefty fee ($5000 per month) to to provide DDoS protection.
Businesses pay even though the attack may not even occur. These can easily burn a hole in my pocket. Plus I do not know whether the solutions that I pay for today would still be relevant when my business grows and scales up.
Now users can utilize their unused bandwidth and be a part of the CDN and DDoS protection network created by Gladius.
The Gladius network would release the Gladius Tokens(GLA). A fixed supply of tokens would be created.
GLA would be used by website owners to but DDoS protection and CDN services.
The majority of the fee would go to the node owners who would be renting their bandwidth and storage space.
The best thing about Gladius is that one can earn money with spare bandwidth while contributing to make the internet websites more secure and faster.
Gladius aim's is to create a more cost effective and more efficient system to create a fully decentralized, peer to peer, serverless node network to connect bandwidth and storage pools to websites looking for
DDoS protection and expedited content delivery.
To bring this concept to life Gladius is coming up with an ICO for the sale of its GLA tokens that would be backed by the Ethereum blockchain.
