Must Have Mobile Applications for Cryptocurrency in 2017

Blockfolio

https://www.blockfolio.com/

Purpose

Coin Portfolio Manager

Why?

You need to track your investments. You need to see which investments have made you money and which investments are bleeding. Blockfolio is a great tool that handles just that. It also has the ability to set alerts on coins rising and/or falling in value.

Cons
  • Manually have to enter each purchase or sell order. Exchanges really need to provide QR Codes to easily scan to avoid fat fingering orders and Blockfolio ability to read them.

Authenticator Plus

https://www.authenticatorplus.com/

Purpose

Fully Featured 2 Factor Authentication

Why?

Google Authenticator is a great, free 2 factor authenticator but what happens if you lose your phone?!? You need the ability to back all these QR codes safely.

Cons
  • It's not free, you have pay $2.99 (but worth it).
  • You need to root your phone or setup a dev mode to transfer google authenticator qr codes.
  • 3rd Party backup, you still have to put trust in a 3rd party to store your backups.
  • If you do the backups instead of the 3rd party, it's one more thing you need to do!

ICOlert

http://icolert.com/

Why?

I've never invested in any ICO sale but I still like knowing what's coming up or ongoing.

Cons
  • Missing ICOs!
