Crypto Jargon

Did you ever wonder what those terms mean? I was super confused at first.

Rekt

"A term for the word "Wrecked." You don't want your coin to be 'REKT'. [1]

HODL

Originally it was just misspelled HOLD but now it stick around as a "Hold on for dear life."

Whale

A person or institution with a lot of resources, coins, money.

Altcoin

any cryptocurrency that is not a Bitcoin

Bags

your coins, or tokens. If you buy 2 BTC you have a BTC bag.

Pump N’ Dump

One of the common situations in crypto when currency grows substantially in value in a short time, just to drop/decrease even faster soon after.

FOMO

Fear Of Missing Out. Feeling jealous when you see a lot people making money on a coin that you don't have. Most of the time people that feel FOMO buy the coin too late and lose money.

Moon

That's where you want your coin to be. It means that your coin's value is growing 'up to the moon'.
