A surprising spike in the market as August 1st approaches with Bitcoin peaking at $2,929 on Bitstamp pulling the market along with it. The market rose by 6.74% gaining about $6B to close (GMT+9) at $94.995B, while volume rose sharply by 92.65% to $2.847B achieving a net positive effect on the market. In a few hours the HARD FORK will be behind us, how will the market react? These are very unpredictable times, caution is advised. A total of 836 cryptocurrencies, 187 Assets, and 4,810 market pairs were traded. Bitcoin's market dominance decreased marginally to 50.1% of the total market cap.

We have a lush green board all gainers, Ethereum ETH carried the day with a huge 12.85%, while all coins on the board held on to their positions. The top Ten cryptos combined market cap rose by 7.12% to close at $83.783B controlling 88.2% of the total market capitalization, while the remaining cryptos retain 11.8%.

Zcash ZEC had its revenge evicting Monero XMR from the Board to occupy the No.10 spot, Ethereum ETH with a 117.7% growth in volume dethroned Bitcoin BTC to claim the No.1 spot while Litecoin LTC was our biggest gainer with a 341.07% growth with an unproportionate effect on its market cap, while the rest of the board remained intact. 90% of our dominant pairs are crypto/fiat indicating a net positive inflow as reflected in our market cap. Our top 10's combined volume was $2.643B a massive 95.21% rise, and an impressive 92.84% of total volume traded leaving the remaining cryptos with 7.16% of investors attention.

Naturally with a 92.65% spike in market volume, the exchanges had increased volumes with Bithumb doing over 134%. Profitable times I must say.
