Coinmarketcap newcomers review: Ian Balina found another gem?steemCreated with Sketch.

Even in current market conditions it is good to track new projects coming to CMC. At some point of time market will eventually go up. Maybe some of the newcomers can give us a ride to the moon? Few projects were added, but some of them look pretty interesting. Let’s take a look at the most promising ones.

Before we go any further I want to remind you this article is not a financial advice, I’m not a financial advisor of any kind. The article was created for solely entertainment purpose.

Debitum Network (DEB

Coinmarketcap | Website

Debitum Network is a hybrid ecosystem for small business financing. It brings together SME borrowers, local and regional risk assessors, debt collectors and insurers. Debitum is an existing business actually, which is always good. The idea doesn’t seem unique at all, but for Eastern Europe (Lithuania based ICO) it is still good.

  • 24h volume is $205 301. For current market conditions it is ok. Token is traded on Kucoin, DDEX and Lykke Exchange.
  • Twitter is inactive. Only 1-2 posts a week at most. Has 8k followers.
  • Website is good. A lot of work was put here.
  • Telegram has more than 15k followers and a healthy discussion.
  • Has rating of 3.2 on ICObench. Not the best rating, but for a product like this it is normal.
  • 58 pages of discussion on bitcointalk. As I see it is mostly positive. For bounty 2% of tokens were allocated. I suppose it was distributed already.

All in all the project seems ok at most. I don’t like when an existing company goes on ICO without a product. This is done to put all costs and risks on investors. I always want to see the company invest in the product first to show they really believe in it. Token is still traded on Kucoin and already had some positive price action on a bearish market. It can bring some profits, but I will stay away from it.

Storiqa (STQ)

Coinmarketcap | Website

An online store. Marketplace where you can buy goods for fiat and STQ tokens. STQ tokens will give some discounts and used in promotions. Blockchain is used for safety. Smart-contract commits a transaction only after successful approvement by a customer.

  • Volume is low - $286 278. Was added to several exchanges already: Tidex, HitBTC, IDEX. Experienced a small dump and was able to rise back.
  • Twitter has more than 8k followers. Posts are pretty average, but is always good when account is active.
  • Website is informative, but design is not attractive. Building a large marketplace from scratch with this kind of design is… difficult.
  • Large telegram group with 30k. Surprisingly, I don’t see any airdrop that could built up a group like this.
  • Has a normal rating of 3.6 on ICObench. According to bonuses, on first and the last week the price differs from 0.003 USD to 0.015 USD. This is what you don’t want to see. Successfully raised $25m.
  • 31 pages on bitcointalk, but a lot of post are for bounty. So it wasn’t really popular. 3% distributed to bounty participant, that’s a healthy amount.

I don’t believe in a project like this. At some point of time major internet marketplace will integrate with cryptocurrencies. I don’t see how this new product (which is not even here yet) can win the competition. I will definitely stay away for this project.

Havven (HAV)

Coinmarketcap | Website

Havven is a decentralized payment network designed to enable everyday cryptocurrency purchases. The network utilizes a dual token system to reduce price volatility. The fees from transactions within the system are used to collateralize the network. Each transaction will generate fees that are paid to havven token holders. So vision is pretty solid, but not unique at all. It’s hard to predict the future of this project.

  • Volume is normal, maybe even good for this market conditions - $443 830. Is available on Gate.io, IDEX, Tidex and DDEX. Chart is health without huge pumps or dumps, but still bearish as the market.
  • Twitter is active and has more than 10k followers.
  • Website is good, I actually like it a lot. Has a lot of partnerships that you can check.
  • Telegram has insane number of members – 88k. I guess a lot were dragged here by massive AirDrop. Still a great group though.
  • Rating 3.6 on ICObench, which is good. Successfully raised $30m. I believe it is the best result form an ICO from Australia.
  • Has several threads on bitcointalk, but doesn’t actually has much attention. Had a bounty and a massive airdrop. Free tokens will add some pressure on the token price eventually.

All in all the project is interesting. Now the price is under high pressure from market condition and airdrop tokens. Still if the project will hit a major exchange, we may see a good price movement. I will watch the project.

Loom Network (LOOM)

Coinmarketcap | Website

Loom Network is a Platform as a Service (PaaS) that allows Ethereum based Solidity applications to be efficiently deployed and run on public, private and side-chains. The goal is to allow application developers to have smart contracts with enhanced features such as access to more computing power when necessary and free trials for attracting new users. So it is a platform for DApps and a solid platform may be a good investment.

  • 24h volume is huge - $1 027 940. In this market conditions it is really great. The token is listed on Kucoin, that’s a good starting exchange.
  • Twitter account is good, but has less than 5k followers.
  • Website is solid, but could be better.
  • Telegram group has 12k members. This is normal, but I expected more attention. It seems there were no airdrops to build it.
  • Don’t see ICO profile on major ICO hubs, I don’t like it at all.
  • There is little information on the project and bounties on bitcointalk.

I like the project. It came out of nowhere and looks pretty solid. Ian Balina invested on private sale stage. The project has powerful competitors, but has the potential to be in top 50 one day. 2018 is a good year for platforms. Ethereum has certain problems and people look for good platforms. I will watch it closely.
