Ripple Selloff - A multitude of factors

Last couple of weeks have been uncharacteristically volatile for Ripple Tech's cryptocurrency XRP. First, we saw a large pump because of some rumours about Coinbase Listing, and Western Union Partnership.

However, there was a listing denial by Coinbase and that coupled by a sudden freakish decision by one of the widely tracked cryptocurrency websites to change their price calculation methodology added to the FUD. I sense that, all this was orchestrated to bring the Ripple price down and cause a panic among weak hands or those who would have bought in higher around 3 dollars.

All in all, the ploy succeeded and XRP is down to around 2 dollars. But as they say, you cant keep a good man down for long. Ripple announced yesterday that it has entered into a partneship with Moneygram, where they will test the XRP token as a liquidity solution in their cross border transfers. If this pilot is successful and XRP is adopted by Moneygram, it might just open the doors to a $ 600 Bn remittances industry for Ripple Tech.

The naysayers, who were doubting XRP adoption may have to eat their
own words soon. It seems that more partnerships like Western Union are also going to be announced in the near future. That is going to be huge as
Western Union has the largest market share in the remittances industry outpacing Moneygram by aleast 4 times.

If this happens, 2018 will be another record breaking year for XRP!
