How I'm Playing the ZCL Fork and ETC Airdop, Updated Portfolio

in cryptocurrency •  10 months ago

ZClassic is forking, along with Bitcoin, into Bitcoin Private, while Ethereum Classic is having an airdrop for Callisto. Both the fork and airdrop have caused the price of ZCL and ETC to rise rapidly leading to the question, is it too late to trade these, and if so, how can I learn from this for the next fork/airdrop.

There alot of people out there feeling some FOMO at the moment! I think that Ethereum as a protocol is a good long play no matter what, but interest like this definitely helps!

I’m subscribed to your youtube channel and I was excited to see on here as well! Cheers @stwbll

Great info thanks. Can't believe I sold all my ZCL last year at $3.30 :(

The question is whether Bitcoin Private will retain its value after the fork while it gets added to exchanges. if not, the potential loss may be more than whatever gain you get pre-fork.

So much for ex dividend. Crypto defies traditional finance in so many ways!

Like your videos and honest attitude :D

Not sure buying ZCL is a smart play, despite the game-theory dynamics you mention. Clearly the potential risk/reward is there, but it would seem to me less risky to buy a smaller position in BTC and still benefit from a fork than take a ZCL posn for the same Bitcoin Private fork. Either way you get Bitcoin Private, but at least with BTC you hold a coin that won't dump after ... Your thoughts?

This was an interesting discussion, but begs the question of how we find future opportunities like this so that we can get in before the big pump. This is different than bitcoin forking to bch, because it's an older crypto trying to make themselves relevant again as opposed to a popular crypto splitting for technical reasons or people arguing about best practice.

Do you have any thoughts as to what these two coins are going to open at or does it depend on the final "pump" of zcl / etc? $400 token? Unfortunately I don't have that much to work with have like $80 in btc(and $50 in 14 other coins for hodl)
