Datum Network - The Decentralized Data Marketplace

The Datum network puts people in charge of their own data enabling them to set rules surrounding privacy, buying, selling and sharing of data.

The Datum network will use smart contracts on the blockchain to allow users to be in charge of all their data whether internet browsing, interacting on social networks, the upload of personal files, device syncing, and of course online shopping.

Right now data is owned by private organizations such as google, facebook, amazon, and other large corporations, and is stored in server farms that may or may not be secure. Datum will shift the control to the data owner using the DAT token which will enable data storage and sharing on a decentralized network. Individuals will be able to monetize their data and all sharing will be paid for using the DAT tokens. This concept could lead to providing a universal basic income to all individuals willing to share their valuable data. If google wants to use your data, google should pay you for your data.

Datum will bring users and enable them to exchange and store data is a safe, and secure fashion while opening up opportunities for stored data to be used in many more applications worldwide.
