Interesting approach but why do you feel this is better than researching in more depth and choosing the 5-10 coins that you feel have the most potential?
Altho the cryptocurrency market has stabilized, there is always new coins coming onto the market and others closing out. There's about 740 in the market at the moment. If you leave it for a long while like you say, the next time you take a look at least 10 - 20% of the coins wont exist and a whole bunch of new ones will have come onto the market that you haven't invested in.. But none the less , everyone has there own strategy so good luck to you sir.
