@crypto-p - I think market cap will spread across the altcoin market more evenly over the next couple of years. I would say that Bitcoin is the Yahoo! of the cryptocurrency space in relation to the development of the internet in the early 90's. What comes next is the search engine wars of crypto. I think the tendency for bitcoin to fork as a means of scaling is an indicator of this. Not sure if Bitcoin will eventually become the next Google of finance, but eventually one of these will.
