Inveting can become very emotionally driven, especially very volatile markets, which tends to then creates a reactive, rather than proactive mindset amongst the heard.
So developing your fundamentals and learning how to create an investment philosphy based on sound and time-proven-principles is a recipe for long term success in my opinion.
We see this often in professional sports: where strategies and game-plans are constantly changing and evolving, but what seems to be a common denominator amongst the the titans in those fields —i.e the Brady’s, Mannings, MJ’s or Lebron James’ of the world — is that they’re are constantly, almost obsessively, focusing on improving their fundamentals, despite how insanely talented they are.
To sum-up your post and my bit of a rant I’ll quote Warren Buffet, who when asked in a Forbes article which investment supersedes all others, replied:“Invest in yourself”
