Gangsters are a plague as we see
They have it in for you and me
A trick and switch this brilliant spam
Then we see the truth of the scam
Hack can be good hack can be bad
The good cryptos are more than a fad
No matter how much they may bitch and wine
The rest of us in steemit will be doing fine
Keep up the good work and enjoy your day
For just like you I am here to stay
@chaospoet nice rhymes :D
But do you know who you are calling a gangster though, and what you are calling a fad? There is more behind ETC than meets the eye. A philosophy which is not in anyway connected with the hack of TheDAO, but with the core network itself.
Perceptions they come and they go
Truth changes with the more we know
My stance has been outside looking in
For in this dance I have no skin
An ETH here an ETH there I have had
An experience worth having I am glad
My entry came after the DAO
Prices have changed just like the DOW
I understand the hard fork was from a vote
Yet not all were happy is important to note
From the original mission statement it was a steer
Yet nothing is perfect nor safe from fear
If you feel certain I am wrong this time
Feel free to say and I'll answer in rhyme
PERFECT :)
yeah @cryot0 is always moving and always right! Shout out to @crypt0
ETC was just a scam so people could make $ off it ETH is it:)
Cheers,
"Just a scam" Trade your freedom for security and you will see where it will take you :D
@craig-grant , to call ETC "gangster mentality " is extremely short-sighted. I believe that you will reverse that thought during the coming weeks. ETC is not about "gangster mentality" its about immutability and real consensus. The governance tools utilized for the hard fork vote did not carry any real value behind it. How many voted? How many agreed? Compare that with the network effect. ETC will continue to thrive as a proof-of-work network while ETH moves on to proof-of-stake. What ever side you chose does not really matter.. But I will never trade freedom for security and the interest of few.
Keep on doing your necklaces, they are really beautiful! Enjoy your day to the max!
the DAO hacker now has millions of ETC, that's gangsta
Due to a bug introduced in the smart contract created by the people of slock.it, Christoph Jentzsch and Stephan Tual former Ethereum foundation members.
Playing with 150 million dollars in that fashion is kinda gangsta as well..
more like mistakes made from enthusiasm, lessons have been learned from those mistakes, and now it's time to move on
Indeed, gangsters side by side ;D
Hell Yes ETH ! sold all my ETC :)
I like your shirt bro
I'm staying out of the ETH / ETC situation and luckily I haven't been burned by the drop in BTC. Full STEEM ahead!
Craig iss a wild mannnn!! I like the flow though! Did you mail my necklace yet?
You're always on top of stuff! Check out my last post. I give you a shout out at 7:20 in the video :-)
I support eth too, I dont support hard forks and I dont believe any hacks are real. I believe the whole "breach" story was created to scare people to ditch thier btc to directly manipulate the marketplace. Fear tactics. of course I could be wrong, but thats the feeling I have right now.
i think there is more too it than just marketplace manipulation, but I dont know what. It just feels "shady"
"Crip... Toe... Currrrrency Reeport". Keeping them coming. Love the perspective. Peace and Unity.
I see it from both sides of the fence. I see what cryptotrends is saying and I lost money when the DAO was hacked so I was less than happy with a less than professional approach, especially after the developers had been given prior warning of the weakness of security.
However, similar to Bitfinex, like Craig says, it's a bit gangster and people with high integrity can loose out to hackers who will be rewarded if a laissez faire approach is always the consensus to crypto.
@michaeldodridgeI was invested in TheDAO myself. I know how it felt to to see your investment being drain from the account day by day. I would still not trade that for a hard fork to gain my investment back. I have followed Ethereum since the ICO, heck even before that when the words was spreading on conferences. How Ethereum and Vitalk talked and acted back then is completely different from today. This was ment to be an immutable censorship resistant "world computer". It simply is not any longer, it is the "mutable by the few computer".
