Don't send too much steem each time. The transaction fee is little. Send less than 1000 steem each time to minimize the risk.

No fee with STEEM :) :)
When you withdraw funds, exchanges usually take a cut though.
Or I could also just not be stupid. :) I've done this enough to know the risks involved. It was just a dumb mistake.
