COSS.IO Update February 14th 2018

Hi all.

Here is a brief update from us at COSS HQ in Singapore.

On the visible part there is not to much updates to come with this week, but behind the scenes we have made big progress. Adrian from Romania has been here all week and worked closely with Mong and Jay on the Development side of things. A lot of planning and scheduling ongoing and it has been some very busy days with long hours for all involved. Hot topics of the week have of-course been site performance, planning for the new KYC/AML/CTF system to be integrated, planning and scheduling the implementation of FIAT trading/deposit/withdrawals, planning and scheduling for mandatory 2fa functions along with many other topics. And it looks like we are on track and should be able to roll out both the KYC system and FIAT trading during March.

The UI is also coming along nicely with updates being tested and pushed to live site multiple times per week. There is still a solid to-do list but we are ticking of topics on the list on a daily basis. Great work by all the involved team members.

On the staffing side we are please to welcome a few new faces to the COSS Family.
Adiputera Saadon (ADI for short) have joined us as Senior Compliance Analyst. His proven track record within compliance is a strong addition to Praveena’s team. He joined us from Maybank Group where he have spent the past 4 years as Assistant manager providing guidance on regulatory market risk advisory and business ethics compliance training across all business units in KYC profiling ezpecially adhering to the US Department of Justice’s FATCA compliance focuning on US clients. Prior to Maybank he spent 3 years+ with Deloitte & Touche as a Senior Associate where he was administrating FCPA and UK’s Anti-Bribery Act risk advisory and compliance training to regional MNC in KYC profiling standards. Adding 2 years at IQPC and 8 years as a Senior Investigating officer at the Singapore police force to his CV ensures that our compliance team now looks pretty strong. Welcome on-board ADI.

Asmita Dhingra have joined us as our in-house Legal Associate. She is a young and eager contribution to the team having spent the past 3 years + with HDFC Ltd in New Delhi India as a Deputy Manager, Legal. In parallel to setting academic records she frequently engaged in internships in order to gain hands on experience and global exposure. Having completed internships involved working in Supreme Court of India as well as Delhi High Court representing multiple law firms. Her skills in Corporate Legal, Corporate Legal Compliance, Contract management and drafting, project approval and management and Business Development and retail lending are more then welcomed here at COSS where she will dig into Legal Advisory and Support, Contract Management, Project Management, Regulatory and Statutory Compliance. Welcome on-board Asmita.

We are now heading into Chinese New Year where we will be welcoming the Year of the Dog.

The Dog is the eleventh of all zodiac animals. According to one myth, the Jade Emperor said the order would be decided by the order in which they arrived to his party. Monkey, Rooster and Dog were in another country, helping a god defeat evil spirits. After, they set off to the party together. Because they arrived at the same time, the Jade Emperor went by the order they met the god in the other country. Thus, Dog became eleventh.

The Dog is also associated with the Earthly Branch (地支 — dì zhī) xū (戌), and the hours 7–9 in the evening. In the terms of yin and yang (阴阳 — yīn yáng), the Dog is yang.

In China, it is still popular to name dogs Wàng Cái (旺财). It means “prosperous wealth” and comes from dogs’ barking sounds (旺旺 — wàng wàng).

And in true COSS spirit we feel that the Dog characteristics very well suits the COSS philosophy:

A Dog’s most defining characteristic is their loyalty. They will never abandon their friends, family or work.

Honest and just, they are popular in social circles. Everyone needs a Dog friend for advice and help. They are also good at helping others find and fix their bad habits.

Despite how they act, they are worried and anxious inside. However, they will not let this stop them. Once they decide on something, no one can persuade them against it.

To warm up before the holidays we took the team out for a nice company dinner last night where we enjoyed each others company and got to know each other even more. The family ties are growing in all of us

Today is February 14th and Valentines Day. Happy Valentines to all of you out there. Today also marks the end of 4 of the ongoing trading promo’s on COSS. Tonight (at 11:59pm Singapore time) we will round up the following trading promo’s: GAT, CAN, VZT and NOX. An advanced congratulation goes out to all the promo winners. We bet those tokens taste better than chocolate on Valentines Day :-)

Still in the run of promos we have: HGT, JET, ADI, TIG, ITT and WISH…..but we are also counting down to February 16th as 12:00PM Singapore time when we go live with the $1,000,000 PROMO, what a way to start the New Year. More trading promos and listings are being lined up for the prosperous year of the Dog. Stay tuned for future updates.

During the past week and in the weeks to come we teamed up with our colleagues over at https://www.jetcoininstitute.com Together we are having a marketing campaign in English Premiere League Football. The most powerful effect of these campaigns are not necessarily during the 90 minutes the matches are ongoing, but in the aftermath of the matches. Especially if there are goals scored while your add is showing. Then the images goes worldwide reaching hundreds of millions of viewers. And what better ways to get viewers than when the Team Captain tweets your logo:

One thing is to reach his 175,000 followers on Twitter, but to have Premiere League itself re-tweeting the post to its 17 million followers is just gravy. This campaign is more of a test from us and as stated many times before: Once we feel that we have a super-solid product/platform we will roll out marketing campaigns full steam.
