Women Boycotting Paris Hilton Endorsed LydianCoin

Wow, the crypto space really does feel like the Wild West this morning.

I woke up to the news that Paris Hilton posted on Instagram about an ICO she intends to participate in, and thought, Wow! Another celebrity taking crypto mainstream. Niice!

I also thought, "Paris Hilton?" but spotted a comment almost at the same time, that said, "Hey, before you judge - Paris Hilton knew what Ethereum was before most of you did."

Okay, maybe that's true. There's no way to know. :)

However, if someone as famous as Paris Hilton endorses something of interest, you naturally want to know more. And while there is almost zero info on this new LydianCoin (in fact when you google it, you find Paris Hilton as a result), there's plenty of other info on its founder, that's making the rounds.

This is from a post in a women's crypto group on Facebook:

"By now, most of us have seen the picture posted today by Paris Hilton on her Instagram account promoting the new Lydian Coin ICO.

But what you may not have seen or heard is who is behind Lydia Coin. Enter Silicon Valley's technology mogul Gurbaksh Singh Chahal, former CEO of online advertising network RadiumOne.

Yes...former CEO...

Singh was pushed out of his role (FIRED) at RadiumOne after an August 5, 2013 all out physical attack on his girlfriend, punching and kicking her 117 times.

117 TIMES!

After the full blown attack he attempted to suffocate her inside of his $7mm San Francisco penthouse. The attack was caught and recorded on security camera video. He would face 47 serious felony charges from the assault.

Chahal’s lawyers, however, claimed that police had illegally seized the video, and a judge ruled that the footage was inadmissible despite prosecutors’ argument that officers didn’t have time to secure a warrant out of fear that the tech executive would erase the footage.

Without the video, most of the charges were dropped, and Chahal, 34, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor battery charges of domestic violence. A deal he struck in April 2014 allowed him to avoid jail time if he conducted a year-long domestic violence rehabilitation course and 25 hours of community service.

Now this pathetic excuse of a human being is now going to try and raise $500 MILLION USD in his ICO. His promo video is a total joke in an attempt to make himself look good and doesn't even discuss the tech behind Lydia Coin or how it will exist in the cryptosphere.

I'm asking every single one of you to boycott this ICO and stand up to domestic violence by sharing this post in every crypto group and page you have access to.

I am very aware that we are living in the age of fake news and I am very careful with what I consume and take as fact. However, I love that women are rising up and making their voices heard. And if all of the above is true, it's appalling and I wish him all the karma he deserves.

I am sharing this because I believe it's important that we do our research before we invest in something. And while some traders preach that emotions should be left out of trading (which I agree with to a certain degree), I am always very interested in who is behind a project that I'm investing in.

I am not in this only for the money. I actually also want to participate in creating a better world and support good people, who I have shared values with and can fully stand behind.

Sort:

Very, very good point about doing our own research into anything before we invest in it. At the end of the day, finances aside, by investing in something we are essentially saying we support both the currency and the makers of the currency.

Cheers for the post, good stuff to think about. Well, not necessarily good if Chahal committed that crime, but you know what I'm saying....

This is getting crazy, the only thing we need now is Kardashian clan investing into ICOs... But it's fine, the majority of people will get to hear about crypto.

"We live in a country supported by the rule of law and this man behind Lydian coin was found innocent in the court of law..."

Wake up little sheep...

Sure.... Sure, and if your neighbour is shooting your horses and you got it on tape, but the court says naaaah, we dont accept your tape because of any reason, then your neighbour is innocent in your eyes??

Right now i have no idea if these news are real, but one thing is for sure - I pity you...
