Telegram Announces Cryptocurrency for 2018! (TON)
The online-communication giant Telegram, home to 180 million users has announced that they will be entering the cryptocurrency game with their own 'Telegram Open Network' (TON) in 2018 - which every Telegram user will automatically have.
Telegram claims that their cryptocurrency will be 'fast', 'scalable' and 'user-friendly'. With a multi-blockchain architecture, TON splits itself in two when a single blockchain gets too big. While increasing capacity, all TON blockchains are also able to exchange data among themselves using a smart routing system which the company is naming 'hypercube routing'. Using direct channels, TON also gets rid of transaction times entirely by using off-chain transactions, (someone tell that to Bitcoin). Instead of using hash for confirmations, TON uses smart contracts to 'maximize efficiency'.
Could this be the future top ICO of 2018? Telegram says that every user of their communication app will get their own TON wallet's, automatically making TON the 'highest adopted cryptocurrency' - as soon as it launches. Should this be a considerable future investment? Will this actually help people adopt the usage of cryptocurrencies - perhaps even finding a place for micro-transactions among friends - ?
