Ethereum Going PoS and What It Might Mean for It
Ethereum has been looking to change from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake. Does that explain the reason why the price has been soaring so high? Perhaps...
Ethereum is over $100 and miners/traders must be celebrating such successes of Ethereum & they must be raking in riches.
Ethereum changing to PoS will be beneficial to individuals who are not able to organise mining equipment. There is not much info that I can find in regards of funds required in order for it to stake, the % in which it will reward per stake, or when it will actually jump into PoS. That will happen soon enough though.
Why jump from PoW to PoS? It is a required step, as PoS protocols are able to protect the currency/ecosystem from hackers, double-spending and any other malicious activity which may tarnish the reputation of ethereum.
What will happen to PoW miners? Will PoW co-exist with PoS? We will know soon enough. . .
