You should know that a cold wallet is the best protection you could have to store your cryptocurrency. Also, on the Trezor and Ledger, you can restore your fund with the BIP39 even if the company go out of business.
Those companies make sure you receive your purchase with security in mind.

Crypto investors should all have as least one hardware wallet! Ledger nano s and Trezor are the best.
If you are serious to invest in this space, it is the best option to keep your crypto safe.
Hi I have a lot of different crypto's including verge, digibite, bitshares. Can they also be stored on these cold wallets?
Bitshares can be backed on a USB drive, you need to download the bin file backup on an external device. I checked, and Digibyte is supported on the Ledger Nano S. Also, Verge is not supported for the moment on the Ledger or Trezor.

I should only have bought coins that can be backed up on one device :-)
