DDOS Attack and Bitcoin Lightning Network
As you may know, the Lightning Network is new on the Bitcoin ecosystem and in beta for developers. Like every new technology people will attempt to break it.
Someone has made a DDOS attack and put down 20% of the nodes offline!

In simple terms, it is a resilient beast :)
This is typical for networks on beta. The network will scale as time passes which will make DDoS attacks too costly to provide any benefit for.
We need to be patient and wait for the public release.
