Well written! And I do think Siacoin is promising personally but one concern of mine is definitely the question of what type of content is stored. And even though all the files are encrypted, it could feel dangerous to a collaborator to risk having illegal content on their devices.
Hm, interesting point. They will only ever have parts of each file so theoretically no host would ever be able to (assuming they could somehow decrypt all the fragments) put it back together . I am assuming that would be how they sell their avoidance of that possible conflict.
