We’re excited to celebrate our partnership with Trust Wallet, our preferred wallet partner. This post will outline the reasons we have chosen to partner with Trust Wallet, and update you on some very impressive new features that just might come in handy.

Trust Wallet is designed for ERC-20 tokens, which is what CanYa is built on. The ERC-20 defines a common list of rules for all Ethereum tokens to follow, meaning that this particular token empowers developers of all types to accurately predict how new tokens will function within the larger Ethereum system.

How does Trust Wallet compare to My Ethereum Wallet?

In short, favorably.

Trust was designed to be compact and user-friendly.
MEW, on the other hand, is clunky, and can only really be used on a desktop with any sort of ease. Given the nature of a 24-hour market, only being able to easily trade on a desktop is not practical.
It is also more secure.
Trust and Mew have many similar security philosophies. Both act as clients on the Ethereum network and store keys locally. Trust and MEW each have various ways of securing access to your Ethereum address with passwords, face recognition, mnemonic phrases etc.
Where they differ is that Trust has a superior phishing attack protection.
Phishing is the attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and money), often for malicious reasons, by disguising as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. It is a huge problem. The number of social media phishing attempts increased by 500% in 2017.

With Trust, the chances of being victim to a phishing attack are very low. In fact, the only way someone can access your funds is if someone gets hold of your device, gets your password for it and then manages to get your Trust app password as well.

Trust has created something that allows any user to interact with decentralized applications (DApps) directly from the app, safely and securely. To make users’ lives even easier, they also created a marketplace where any developer can list their mobile optimised DApp for everyone to use.
