Positivity Takes Us All To The Moon 🚀

The number of projects in the cryptocurrency space continues to grow, and it's impossible to keep track of them all. Some exciting projects surface, and there are also scams that pop up as well. We need to point out those scams to protect people when possible, but the tribalism of cryptocurrency is getting bad.

Crypto is a new frontier, if we're going to see it move forward then we need to stop bashing every project that we're not investing in, or we'll tear everyone down. Right now it seems like many people are treating this like a sports team, where there can only be one winner and if you like or support another team, then you're the enemy. That's not the case because when one project does well, then it helps the entire space. NASA using Ethereum gives credibility to the cryptocurrency ecosystem and gets a new person looking into crypto when they may not have otherwise. What Ethereum does isn't directly hurting Bitcoin.

We have the Bitcoin maximalists who see everything other than Bitcoin as a scam. That's no different than saying everything that isn't an IPA isn't a beer.

New developers and programmers can find things that help push the space forward and in the end, make something like Bitcoin better. For example, look at what Charlie Lee has done with Litecoin. He created it years ago as more of a fun project and believes that Litecoin can complement Bitcoin. Litecoin could act as a testing ground for things that Bitcoin might not be able to add as quickly. You need projects that are used as a proof of concept before they become part of the primary code.

When these people can try something new, they may discover something that another developer hadn't thought about before.

Having so many people out there shouting X coin is a scam or even using the term shitcoin when talking about other currencies, it scares off new people. There are very few people in the cryptocurrency space that talk positive or negative about a coin without having their financial interest in mind.

Many people in the space may hate on something like XRP because it's against the core reason for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Still, others talking about XRP outside of early investors help to legitimize the industry to outsiders. Whatever project gets them interested in the space is a good thing.

A rising tide lifts all boats!

I am heavily involved in the craft beer space, and I have seen that scene explode over the years, up close. By these brewers working together to give people better beer, they fought against big beer. Just like the crypto kids are fighting against the banks. But these brewers helped each other knowing that if they can do well, then the brewer down the street can do well. For the most part, it wasn't this me vs. everyone else attitude, and that helped push craft beer forward. So now most areas in the U.S. have local breweries or at least access to craft beer. The cryptocurrency space would benefit from this attitude as well.

Support the project you believe in and if you see a scam, then point it out. But don't go bashing every coin just because you're not invested or knowledgeable about it. We are all in this together. 👊
