Help Architecting Blockchain Recommendation System

Hi guys. Do any of you have ideas on how we can structure a blockchain ecosystem for this platform?

We've been building an app, weTree, to help people discover things they will like: friends, products, news, events, etc... Basically take personality tests and rate/review stuff. You'll then see average ratings, but also personalized ratings. You'll see the top reviews, but also from the people most similar to you at correlated stuff. It'll also be helpful for helping us find niche rare things from independent artists we'd never otherwise know about.

It's important to us to reward people for their data when it's monetized via affiliate links, ads, search placement, b2b bulk analytics, and an API ecosystem (want to allow people to opt-in share this data with other apps). Especially to reward the people doing good reviews. This is a lot like Steemit in spirit, so thought this would be the best place to ask for advice.

I wanted to list this for equity crowdfunding, but a blockchain ICO is seeming like the way to go. We're all blockchain noobs though.

Really appreciate any thoughts/ideas/links on this. Every model we make always has drawbacks like: how to reward investors exponentially with growth vs participants more linearly. How to reward users if the company is not profitable or going down in usage...
