Will Quantstamp be the next big thing by improving the quality of smart contracts? ICO presale phase
Some days ago Christian a guy I met in the ICON Project Telegram chat, told me about Quantstamp, the next big ICO that is coming. Thank you Christian!
Based on his recommendation I went on google and did some research. Now I want so share with you what I found about Quantstamp, that caught my attention.
Looks like there is really something very interesting happening...
In one sentence how I understood the concept of Quantstamp:
Smart contracts need to be secure to prevent hacking. Quantstamp wants to improve the security of smart contracts by enabling developers to outsource security audits of their smart contracts to the crowd.
If you want to know in details what Quantstamp will do please got to the source and read the whitepaper, which is quite well written and has detailed information.
Things I like about the concept:
• They use the crowd to audit smart contracts and find bugs by putting up bounties for hackers to find bugs to get the bounties. By doing this they use the concept of the prisoner’s dilemma (explained in 2min), which is a quite smart move.
• To grant access to people truly interested to the concept and make it harder for whales they put you on the white list based on proof-of-care, which is a quite cool concept. You have to show them how you care about the project. This also is a big driver to build up a community of ambassadors, which backs the project in all sorts of kind.
