RE: Sports Betting Blockhain Projects | Crypto Sportz

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

They don't show any odds and payouts seem to be just based on how many wagers are on each side. (which might bring opportunity when entering very late)

Having no odds leaves you the only one option and you've identified it , bet just before the start of the game and only in a case when the payout is big enough to justify it (eg. their implied odds are high enough).

One thing that bothers me is this:

DISCLAMER
Nobody owns Crypto Sportz, it owns itself.
It exists only as a set of code on a blockchain network called Ethereum, this site is a graphical interface that helps you visualize the decentralized code.

That won't hold water in any court of law and I don't know why they've put it there at all. If they ever get big enough to catch the interest of some prosecutor, they'll see that a disclaimer like that is worth nothing at all.

These kind of projects are quite interesting as they don't aim to create their own coin and just use ethereum smart contracts. I found another one that does the same thing but seems far superior. Not sure of it all really works and if it's actually scalable though.

This year will be interesting for all these projects, I'm really looking forward to see how it all plays out.
