It has not actually been at the $3 USD mark in over 30 days but I know what you mean.
Segwit started signalling on the LTC network Feb. 3rd. I've blogged a ton on the coin and follow it.
- the problems with bitcoin politics and the related issues are driving money into Alt Coins..... and one of the most stable and earliest is LTC.
The SegWit signalling is looking good overall for LTC to remain strong and thus implement code to fix a lot of issues and of course, most of BTC knows and is watching this!
January 2017, it was 3.8 USD.
In short time to 15 USD.
May be soon it will jump to 100 USD !!!!
