Crypto-News: The Next Monero Client Release Will Have Full Multisig Support. And a Definition of Multi Sign for New Crypto Folks.
A great piece of news that has been coming for awhile. Let's learn together:
Solid cryptocurrency and their wallet solutions need key features to succeed. Not only does it need to be fungible, but it also needs secure storage solutions.
As things have progressed, Bitcoin users know this and to them, using multisignature support has really become normal.
Things are a different when it comes to most altcoins. Monero is a coin well known for its privacy and anonymity, and will receive multisig support soon. The code has been merged into the official dev. branch as this news is breaking.

This code has been under dev. for quite awhile now.
The new feature is now merged officially into the main branch of Monero development, after a rigorous testing period

For crypto folks, this is big in every way. It shows the cryptocurrency world that team Monero is hard at work making their product better and more secure.

We are not sure when to expect this new client, but it's good to know some of what features we can look forward to.
There's some other interesting features about this integration as well.
Multisig transactions & addresses, to be specific, are indistinguishable from regular Monero transactions & addresses, which is very different from Bitcoin and other coins that currently support multisignature solutions.
Quick Points:
-- In Bitcoin, regular wallet addresses begin with a “1”.
-- Multisig wallets instead, contain a “3” at the front.
-- With Monero, there won't be a way to tell the difference between regular and multisignature transactions and wallets.
That is QUITE an accomplishment for a currency focused on privacy and anonymity. Further, it may help other exchange platforms and services integrate Monero support in the future.
This will likely open up a whole host of new opportunities. Multisignature support is pretty significant!
